I think the reference to Chlorine was super intentional, because that song is kind of about how Tyler feels the need to be in his negative headspace to write these lyrics that people expect from him. And then in this song he's saying he doesn't want to fall into that pit again from when he started with the self titled even vessel being direct correlation of his depression, but also going so far as to say he wishes he never made "Saturday" almost as if it feels disingenuous to him to create these songs that aren't really deep emotionally so he's just stuck in this loop of not knowing if she should make what feels real that the fans love, or the stuff that he thinks is less emotionally taxing and does better for a broader audience.

My personal belief is that this song is sung from the perspective of Sleep talking into the ear of Vessel. All of the violence and anger in this song doesn't seem to fit the Vessel we know like you guys alluded to in the review, but it does fit the idea we know that his relationship with Sleep was very toxic in nature. The idea that Sleep was testing his loyalty or even just trying to corrupt Vessel is very compelling to me when it comes to this song. Very excited to hear your reaction to Jericho, loved going on this journey with you two.

Been following SWARM in particular since he had like 200 subscribers on UA-cam, glad to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves. You can definitely hear a lot of his very intense, very dark style in this song -- especially the "low, dirty" tones as Kyle put it around 6:45 -- but it meshes wonderfully with Bad Omens and Health's touches. Definitely one of my favourite songs to release so far in 2024.

This song made my father flat out BURST into tears because he said he was reminded of when I had my first seizure, at 10, before they knew I was Epileptic, and the doctors had said "we have to run some tests to see if she has a brain tumor". And he said that he hung up the phone and immediately hit the floor in tears, basically, doing exactly that. Praying that he'd pay for all his own sins if it just "could not be cancer." Thankfully it wasn't. 🥰
